The lights on courts 4 to 7 are configured to light in pairs, with courts 5 and 6 coming on together and courts 4 and 7 coming on together. For optimum lighting quality, courts 5 and 6 should be lit first. The extra lights for courts 4 and 7 complement the lights for courts 5 and 6.
The lights on courts 8, 9, 10 are designed so that court 9 can be lit on its own, and the remaining lights give full lighting on all three courts. For optimum lighting quality, court 9 should be lit first.The extra lights for courts 8 and 10 complement the lights for court 9.
Except for indoors, if the lights are allowed to go out, they can take up to 10 minutes to come on again.
The following procedure should be followed: Book only at the booking times and arrive well in advance of the time booked. If the lights are already on, check the time left on the meter. If it does not seem that the lights will go out at the correct time, consult the players. When your time is up, leave the court promptly, as the next person will have added time.
